닉 윌리암스는 1998년 스윙댄스에 입문한 이래로, 스윙에 대한 열정과 정신을 구체와 시키고 있다. 닉의 린디합, 발보아, 찰스턴 그리고 쉐그에 대한 깊은 이해는 스윙전성기 시대의 오리지널 댄서 연구와 분석에서 나온다. 혁신을 향한 그의 춤의 열정은 진정성과 결합되어 정확하고 경쾌하면서도 그리고 역동적인 에너지로 잘 알려진 그의 스타일을 만들어냈다. 

끊임없는 노력과 탁월한 재능은 울티매잇 린디합 쇼다운(Ultimate Lindyhop Showdown), 캠프 헐리우드(Camp HollyWood), 올발보아 위크앤드(All Balboa Weekend), 캠프 지터벅(Camp Jitterbug) 등 발보아와 린디합 모두의 최고의 스윙댄스 대회에서의 말 그대로 셀 수 없이 수많은 상으로 인정받았다.

뛰어난 안무가이기도 한 닉 윌리암스는 유명 텔레비전 쇼, So You Think You Can Dance 에서 스윙댄스 부분 안무를 맡았고 그외에도 텔레비젼 다큐멘터리 프로그램에 유명 린디하퍼인 칼라 헤이니(Carla Heiny)와 출연, 스윙댄스를 저변을 확대했다.

강사로서의 닉은 즐겁고 신나는 강습 분위기를 만들고 동작과 기술을 보다 쉽고 단계적으로 설명하는 것으로 널리 알려져 있다. 그의 음악과 춤에 대한 지칠줄 모르는 열정은 끊임없이 배우고 가르치고 그리고 그 스스로 성장하도록 하고 있다. 닉 윌리암스는 2004년 칼리포니아 스윙댄스 명예의 전당(California Swing Dance Hall of Fame)에 헌정됐다.

Nick Williams
 

Nick Williams has embodied the passion and spirit of swing dancing ever since his first lesson in 1998. His in-depth understanding of Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Collegiate Shag stem from studying with the original dancers.

 

Nick's desire for authenticity, combined with his passion for dance evolution, leads to a style known for precision, lightness, and dynamic energy. Above all, he exhibits musicality, creativity, and continuity. His successes include World Lindy Hop Champion, U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion, American Lindy Hop Champion, and American Classic Balboa Champion.

 

He is also an accomplished choreographer and has been featured on the hit television show So You Think You Can Dance? As an instructor, he is known for his ability to break down movements and technique to create a fun and light-hearted learning environment.

His true love for music and dancing will forever inspire him to learn, teach, and grow. In 2004, Nick was honored to be recognized by the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame.
