Preliminary of Mix & Match 

코리아발보아챔피언쉽은 예선과 결선으로 진행된다. ​믹스앤 매치(Mix & Match)에서는 대회 신청자들이 일렬로 선 상태에서 임의 번호를 통해 파트너를 결정한다. 최대 10커플을 넘지 않는 그룹이 정해지며, 1분30초에서 40초 정도의 음악으로 임의 선정된 파트너와 함께 춤을 춘다. 한 그룹당 위치를 바꿔가며 최대 2곡을 추게 된다.

음악은, 주최측에서 선정하며 클래식 발보아 음악으로 각 부문에 적당한 빠르기로 결정된다. 

​

심사는 커플이 아니라 개별 리더와 팔로워를 선정한다. 저지들이 Yes, No, Maybe를 표시를 통해 6커플에서 최대 8커플까지 파이널리스트를 결정한다. (상세 방식 참고 링크)

The Korea Balboa Championship is consist of a preliminary and finals. ​In Mix & Match preliminary, contestants stand in a line and choose a partner through a random number. A group of no more than 10 couples is selected and dances with a randomly selected partner with music from 1 minute 30 to 40 seconds. A maximum of two songs will be danced by changing positions per group.

The music is selected by the organizer, and the classical Balboa music is determined at an appropriate pace for each category.

The judges select individual leaders and followers, not couples. Judges select the finalists from 6 to 8 couples by indicating Yes, No, or Maybe. (Detailed method reference link)

Final Round of Mix & Match 

코리아발보아챔피언쉽은 예선과 결승으로 구성된다. ​Mix & Match 결승에서는 최초에 결정 파트너와 대회를 참가한다. 

8 커플 이내의 결선 참가자가, 한 커플 씩 나와서 곡의 일부분에 춤을 추는 스팟라이트를 진행한다. 

​

​음악은 주최측에 의해 선정되며, 예선보다 빠르고 에너지 넘치는 발보아 클래식 곡이다. 

​

​대회는 Relative Placement 방식으로 진행된다.

The Korean Balboa Championships consist of preliminary and final rounds. ​In the Mix & Match final, the first to participate in the competition with the deciding partner.

Finalists up to 8 couples will come out one by one and perform a spotlight dancing to a part of the song.

코리아발보아챔피언쉽은 예선과 결선으로 진행된다. ​스트릭틀리(Strictly)에서는 파트너와 함께 한번의 웜업(Warm up)을 진행한 후, 파트너와 함께 나와 스팟라이트를 춘다. 이때 음악 1분30초에서 40초 정도 길이

음악은, 주최측에서 선정하며 클래식 발보아 음악으로 각 부문에 적당한 빠르기로 결정된다.

In Strictly final round, the finalists do one warm-up with their partner, and then they go out with partner and dance a spotlight. At this time, the length of the music is about 1 minute 30 to 40 seconds.

Pure Balboa (STRICTLY) / Wild Strictly Competition

파트너와 함께 신청한다. 대회는 예선 없이 전체 참가 커플이 동시에 주최측이 선곡한 곡에 따라 춤을 춘다. 

​

심사 위원들이 돌아다니며 텝인/ 탭아웃으로 커플들을 탈락시키며 최종 두 커플 혹은 3커플이 남고 최종 선택된 커플이 우승자가 된다. 

​

​음악은 슬로우, 패스트, 미디엄의 스윙재즈가 자유롭게 선곡된다. 

Compete with a partner. In the competition, without preliminaries, all participating couples dance simultaneously to a song selected by the event. Tap-In/ Tap-Out

The judges go around and eliminate couples, leaving the final two or three couples remaining, and the final chosen couple becomes the winner.

​

​The music is freely selected from slow, fast, and medium swing jazz.
