안드레아스 올슨(Andreas Olsson)은 스웨덴의 수도 스톡홀름에서 살고 있는 안드레아스는 레오타드를 입은 다른 작은 소년들과 겨루는 레슬링 매트 위에서 자라났다. 그는 스스로 100% 의 노력을 한 일에 대해서는 대부분 해내왔다고 생각했다. 어린 시절에는 바이얼린을 연주하기도 했었는데, 아마 여러분은 클래식 음악과 레슬링이 스윙 댄싱과는 크게 공통점이 없다고 생각할지도 모른다. 하지만 분명한 것은 예상치를 깨는, 창의성 넘치는, 음악적인 것들이 그를 흥미로운 댄서로 만드는데 기여했다.

2001년에 린디합을 시작한 안드레아스는 몇년 뒤 발보아를 시작했다. 그가 춤을 가르치기 시작한 이유는 학생들이 배우고 발전하는 모습을 보는 것을 사랑해서였다.

안드레아스는 춤을 가르치는 것이 새로운 스타일에 대한 도전과 댄스씬에 공헌할 수 있는 가능성을 제공한다고 생각했다. 안드레아스는 스톡홀름에서 소셜로 가장 많은 시간을 보내는 것으로 (지금까지) 다른 댄서가 도전할 수 없는 기록을 가지고 있다고 주장한다. 그는 에너지 넘치는 소셜 댄서로 오직 다른 보타이나 재미난 그림이 그려진 티셔츠로 바꿀때만 휴식을 취한다.

안드레아스는 세계적인 린디합과 발보아 대회 양쪽에서 많은 수상을 했다. 그는 또한 역사를 사랑하고 세계에서 몇 안되는 해양고고학자로 스웨덴 해양 박물관의 고고학 분야의 책임자이기도 했다. 그에게 스웨덴의 Vasaship 이나 Vikingships에 대해서 한번 물어보라.

올가 마리나(Olga Marina)는 음악과 언어를 가르치는 교사 집안에서 태어나서 어렸을 때부터 음악을 공부하고 운동과 마샬 아츠 그리고 체육관 운동들로 에너지 넘치는 살았다. 2007년 린디합을 알게 되고 그때부터 진짜 열정적인 그녀만의 춤 이야기가 시작되었다. 그녀는 춤에 훅 빠져버렸고 블루스에 이어 발보아를 시작하고 춤의 세계로의 탐험을 시작한 뒤로 더 배우고 대회에 참가하기 위해 매우 활발하게 전세계를 여행 중이다. 2013년부터 자신의 음악과 춤에 대한 열정과 지식을 나누며 가르치기 시작했다는데, 강습에서 올가는 도전적이고 재미난 과제를 제시하는 것으로 학생들의 더 많은 흥미와 참여를 위해 많은 노력을 한다. 그런 노력들은 테크닉과 뮤지컬리티 두 가지에서 춤에 대한 더 많은 열정으로 이끈다.

Andreas Olsson, Olga Marina

Andreas Olsson lives in Stockholm, Sweden. He grew up on the wrestling mat, fighting other little boys in leotards. He won most of the time since he’s always given 100% in everything that he does. He also played the violin in an orchestra during his childhood. You might not think classical music and wrestling has much in common with Swing dancing, but it has definitely contributed to him becoming the unpredictable, creative, musical and interesting dancer he is today.

Andreas was introduced to Lindy Hop in 2001 and a few years later to Balboa. Andreas teaches dance because he loves to see students learn and improve. As Andreas sees it, teaching is inspiring since it offers a possibility to contribute to the ever-changing dance style and scene.

Andreas claims to be the unchallenged record holder (so far!) of most hours spent on social swing dance floors in Stockholm. He is an energizer bunny and only takes a break to change into another colorful tie.

He has been placed in a number of prestigious competitions in both Lindy Hop and Balboa around the world with a number of well-known swing dancers. He is also a history lover and one of the very few marine archaeologists in the world. Ask him about the ”Vasaship” or ”Vikingships”.

Olga Marina was born into a family of teachers (language and music) and since the early years has been an energetic live wire - studying music, doing athletics, martial arts, and gymnastics. In 2007 she was introduced to Lindy Hop and this is where the real passion story begins. She got dance hooked and started to explore more of the dance world by getting into Blues and later Balboa. She has been actively traveling the globe in pursuit of more opportunities to dance, learn and compete. In 2013 she began to share her love for swing music and dance by teaching. At her classes Olga pays a lot of attention to getting the students interested and involved by giving challenging and fun tasks, working both on technique and musicality and infecting them even more with the passion for dancing.
